Can it check the car's condition or history?
No. Factory records describe the configuration as it left the factory. They say nothing about wear, damage, repairs or later modifications.
I buy at auctions without seeing the car. Can I check many VINs?

Can I check a car without asking the seller?
Yes. A VIN lookup only needs the 17-character VIN, which is visible on the car, in its papers and in auction catalogues.
