Founded in 2022 by a team of car enthusiasts and data engineers, VINdata.io was born out of frustration with outdated, unreliable vehicle data sources.

Our Story
It started with a simple question: why is it so hard to get reliable vehicle specifications from a VIN number? Our founders — Kim and Anders — spent years working in the European used-car market and saw the same problem over and over: dealers needed accurate data to price, list, and sell vehicles, but existing tools were slow, expensive, or simply wrong.
So we built VINdata.io. We partnered directly with OEM data providers, built a lightning-fast API, and designed a dashboard that any dealer can use — no technical setup required. Today we decode thousands of VINs every day for customers in over 15 countries.
